ROB, in effect, is a robot using artificial intelligence that is able to segment and divide agents emitting ambient noise and analyze to what extent the emitter is responsible for the certain noise in that environment. This process can be expanded in various ways and has several advantages. In many cases it can dramatically decrease the need for human resources, especially the expensive cost of engineers, and it can also reduce expenses in the social and medical sector. The team of ROB, as its first achievement, has completed the development of the real-time, source-selective, noise monitoring and mapping system, called the ReSoNo application. ReSoNo can define the exact place and the rate of the noise emitted in the environment. Its sensibility will be further developed to be able to monitor multiple, concurrent sources of noise in a homogeneous environment. The development also applicable after further research and development in agricultural, security and other special fileds.
It is clear that keeping a noise engineer every day and every minute on the site makes the proper measurement extremely expensive. We must find a way to do it on a lower cost. That is why our company started to develop the artificial intelligence based noise monitoring system.

The ROB - Robotic Observer can learn and identify the information sources (events, measurement data, deviations) of the observed or monitored site using neural network based artificial intelligence (AI), and the user can determine which information sources should be watched and which should be ignored. The trigger values of the measurement data representing our interest in an information source can be also set in the system. But it can be an interesting event as well, when there is a new, so far unknown information source appearing on the observed site. ROB - Robotic Observer is an umbrella term of the products of Environmental Intelligence Innovations developed specially for environmental noise related applications. It is based on an intelligent audio observer system designed to assist environmental analysis, communal environment surveillance, industrial site supervision, and transportation system control. Its modular build-up and wide compatibility enables a great variety of use from A.I. aided manual measurement to completely unattended permanent monitoring. The unique patented source-selection technology – developed with solid academic and consulting background– opens a new perspective in environmental noise analysis.
